Want to switch your customer name? Use the Switch customer button at the bottom right and navigate back to step 2.
Step 2: Installing the gateway
Disclaimer: Make sure that the gateway is placed outside the room or area where the temperature sensor is installed, the room or area should be a non- food and low-humidity zone.
For the installation of the gateway the following products are needed:
- Gateway
- Ethernet Cable
- 12V Adapter
The gateway can be mounted using different methods. There are two methods:
- Tie wraps
- Screws and plugs
Please follow the steps below to install/mount the gateway and connect it to RmoniWeb:
Connect Gateway (C10 - Internet enabled network)
- Before installing the gateway, read this article to ensure internet connectivity.
- Insert the Ethernet Cable into the network connector on the Gateway. Connect the opposite end of the Ethernet cable to an Ethernet port in a dry and clean place near the cooling units (E.g. chef’s office)
- Take the 12V adapter and plug it into the power input on the Gateway. Make sure there is a secure connection to a power outlet.
Activation & Setup:
The orange LED at the network connector should remain lit when the Gateway is plugged into a power source and to a patched network outlet.
The green LED (‘’SERVER’’) on the front lid must be lit continuously to indicate that there is a connection to the server. This can take up to 2 minutes.
Connect Gateway (C40) - Coming soon
Gateway Configuration:
To configure the Gateway to your account, please follow thesesteps:
- Navigate to settings in the top-left corner of the App
- Tap on ‘’Scan QR-code’’
- Tap on the keyboard in the top-right corner of the App

- Select the organizational unit
- Select "Register" to register the device
Placement:
Place the Gateway in a suitable dry and clean location near the fridges and freezers (E.g. chef’s office). Secure it in place by using one of the following mounting options:
Tie Wraps
- Position the Gateway at the central location where it can connect to the 12V adapter and Ethernet Cable
- Secure the Gateway in it’s place by inserting the tie wraps through the mounting points of the Gateway and wrap it tightly to an item (E.g. pipe / rack)
Screws and Plugs (not included in package)
- Position the Gateway at the central location where it can connect to the 12V adapter and Ethernet Cable
- Mark the positions for the screws. Drill holes for the plugs, make certain that the size is correct
- Align the Gateway with the holes and secure it in place using screws and plugs.
- Tighten the screws to ensure a stable and secure attachment.
Note: Make sure that the surface is suitable for making adjustments. Rmoni is not responsible for any damages to surfaces that should not be screwed into.
Step 3: Installing the router
Disclaimer: Make sure that the router is placed outside the room or area where the temperature sensor is installed, the room or area should be a non- food and low-humidity zone.
Not sure where to place it? Check out this article!
For the installation of the router the following products are needed:
- Router (including mounting bracket)
- 12V Adapter
The router can be mounted with the following items:
- Tie wraps
- Adhesive tape (including VHB surface cleaner)
- Screws and plugs
Please follow the steps below to install/mount the router and connect it to RmoniWeb:
Connect Router (R10):
- Take the 12V adapter and plug it into the power input on the Router. Make sure there is a secure connection to a power outlet.
- The blue LED should be lit full. This indicates a successful wireless connection to the gateway.
Router Configuration:
To configure the router to your account, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to settings in the top-left corner of the App
- Tap on ‘’Scan QR-code’’
- Scan the router
- Fill in the router’s alias (E.g. Router – Central Kitchen)

Placement:
Place the router in a central position between the gateway and fridgers/coolers. It should be installed near the refrigeration units if there is an outlet. Secure it in place by using one of the following mounting options:
Tie Wraps
- Position the router at the desired location where it can connect to the 12V adapter
- Disconnect the mounting bracket from the router
- Secure the router in it’s place by inserting the tie wraps through the mounting points of the bracket (see photo) and wrap it tightly to an item (E.g. pipe / rack)
- Place the router back inside the mounting bracket
Adhesive Tape
- Position the router at the desired location where it can connect to the 12V adapter
- Mounting surface must be clean and dry for mounting. Use our VHB Surface Cleaner to guarantee a clean mounting surface, then make sure to wipe it dry with a cloth.
- Make sure that the surface temperature is no less than 10 degrees Celsius
- Attach the adhesive tape to the bracket of the router and press it firmly to the mounting surface for at least 10 seconds
Screws and Plugs (not included in package)
- Position the router at the desired location where it can connect to the 12V adapter
- Mark the positions for the screws. Drill holes for the plugs, make certain that the size is correct.
