Need a hand selecting the proper Rmoni sensor node? Check it out below.
Rmoni offers a variety of RMONO sensor nodes, most notably:
- RMZ-1214-E10: ZB Endpoint RMONO LR, OD70::1T (int)
- RMZ-1214-E11: ZB Endpoint RMONO LR, OD70::1T
- RMZ-1214-E12: ZB Endpoint RMONO LR, OD70::COMBI (air+product)
- RMZ-1214-E14: ZB Endpoint RMONO LR, OD70::PRODUCT
- RMZ-1214-E20: ZB Endpoint RMONO LR, OD70::1RHT (int)
- RMZ-1214-E51: ZB Endpoint RMONO LR, OD70::1TDIG (without M12 cable)
- RMZ-1214-E61: ZB Endpoint RMONO LR, OD70::1SW (without Switch)
The choice is clear when you want to measure humidity (E20) or a door contact (E61), but to measure temperatures there are a number of options. This document aims to explain what to choose when and why.
Type | Measurement | Advanctage | Disadvantage |
E10 | One internal temperature sensor | Very easy to install | Electronics inside cold/wet cabinet. Calibration less straightforward due to thermal inertia |
E11 | One external NTC temperature probe | Electronics can be placed outside cabinet. Probe can be immerged in a bottle simulator. Easy to calibrate in oil bath or air | Cabled probe may be an obstacle |
E12 | One internal sensor in resin and one external NTC probe | Combi - measures both air and product temperature in a compact device Electronics protected in resin | Calibration less straightforward due to thermal inertia |
E14 | One internal sensor in resin | Electronics protected in resin – required for e.g. grill sides and fries dispensers | Measurement slowed down like product simulator Calibration less straightforward due to thermal inertia |
E51 | One external digital sensor | Digital probe with certificate can be swapped for easy calibration Electronics can be placed outside cabinet. Probe can be immerged in a bottle simulator | Higher initial price (but typically recovered over the years due to easier calibration) |
