Get ready for our upcoming add-on so you can start using our Advanced Data Analytics functionality straight away. Implement two different optimizations to make full use of our Data Analytics functionality once it is released:

  1. Organizational unit types
  2. Concepts

All optimizations are explained below. Please note that users need the right permissions to set-up these functions.

1. Organizational unit types

We've added three new organizational unit types. Each will organizatoins to gain insights in their data:

  • Region
Region types are used for organizational units such as a headquarters or region. Regions can only be added underneath the organizational types Region. These organizational unit types will be excluded from most of our Advanced Data Analytics widgets, but will be used exclusively for others (to analyse how each region is performing).

  • Location
Location types are used for, as the name suggests, locations. Locations can only be added underneath the organizational types Region and Location. Some of our Advanced Data Analytics widgets will only contain data of these organizational unit types.

  • Department
Departments can only be added underneath the organizational types Location and Department. These can’t be added at the top level of the organizational structure. The data of these organizational unit types will be summarized at the location level above. This enables organizations to analyse all associated data of locations. These departments will not be shown in the Advanced Data Analytics widgets.

2. Concepts

We've added the possibility to add different concepts (in the Organizational structure page). Concepts can be managed using the Manage concepts buttonEvery organization is free to create their own concepts, since these can differ per customer.

Usually speaking an concept is, for example, a store type (E.g. large stores, medium stores and small stores). This helps organization to create insight into how those different types of stores perform individually and what the differences are between them.

Once all concepts have been created, they can be linked to the organizational units. This can be done within a few steps:

  1. Search for the preferred organizational unit
  2. Use the right mouse button on the organizational unit and select Edit
  3. Select the concept and press Save
  4. Repeat this for all organizational units that needs to be included in the Advanced Data Analytics widget for concepts.
